TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY:

A survey locating and depicting terrain features of the property. This type of survey is conducted to show the features of the ground, both natural and man made, such as buildings, fences, trees, and other improvements. This type of map also shows relief or variations in elevation of the earth’s surface “the contours of the land”. A topographic survey may be conducted in conjunction with a Boundary Survey. Topographic maps are widely used in engineering work, in connection with the construction design and drainage projects.
